ARTIST FEATURE INTERVIEW: BBIZ SITS DOWN WITH EMOTIONZ

All arguments about genres aside, every style of music is related in some way to another. We love hip-hop at Radio Toxic. Our studio manager/team rapper Brett (BBiz) was ecstatic when we asked him to interview one of his local idols; Dave Nelson AKA Emotionz.
A little history about Emotionz: He’s a Vancity local and has been in the hip hop scene for over a decade. He’s known for being a wicked party rock MC and has toured around the globe. A combination of beatboxing ability, developed lyrical muscles and the will to carry a show have put Emotionz on the forefront of BC’s hip hop scene, and have landed him in the sights of awesome dub-step producers like Abstrakt Sonance from West Ave.
In the interview, Dave and Brett discuss the hip hop scene, their experiences with the electronic movement and the combination of both genres. Emotionz also gives some great tips for any musician trying to make it, and even discusses a bit of his workshop that he now hosts in East Vancouver for young up and comers and anyone else who wants to drop in.
